Ramon Sharpe was born July 26, 1971 in Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from Albany State University, where he played football and was proud of winning the State Championship in 1993 with the Golden Rams. He had a brief stint with the NFL Cleveland Browns, and later with the Arena Football League. Ramon was employed for many years in law enforcement and human services. His most recent employment was as the Director of Operations for Mr. Dee’s Electric Service.
Ramon, more affectionately known as “Coach Sharpe, devoted the past 20 years to coaching youth football in Cobb County, and serving as a mentor for young males. His greatest joy was seeing those that he coached excel in football, and in life.
Ramon is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Faye (Sharpe) Crosby, and his maternal grandparents, Shelley Sharpe Sr. and Algia M. Sharpe.
Ramon completed his life’s journey on Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Riverdale, Georgia. He leaves a loving and caring wife, his children, siblings, nieces and nephews, and his uncle. His many memories will be cherished by a host of family and friends.
