Ted was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Robert Montgomery Fox and Elsie Acuff Fox, and was raised in Gainesboro. He previously worked for Belknap Hardware in Louisville, Kentucky. Ted worked for both the State of Tennessee Department of Finance Administration and Department of Public Health and retired as a facilities manager after over 40 years of service. He was a member of Lebanon Road Church of Christ for 56 years where he served as a Deacon and an Elder. He served our country in the United States Army. Ted had a great sense of humor, never met a stranger, loved to laugh and make others laugh.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Frankie R. (Pruett) Fox; daughters, Tina (Tony) Bowling and Sheri (Mark) Wright; brother, John (Helen) Fox; grandchildren, Matthew (Stephanie) Bowling, Joshua (Emily) Wright, Kayla (Ben) Hobbs, and Rachel Wright; and great grandchildren, Ella Ruth Bowling, Nora Eve Wright, and Everett Augustus “Gus” Hobbs.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
The Celebration of Life and Military Honors will be conducted at Hermitage Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 11:00 am with Bro. JD Buckner officiating.
Entombment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
