I am pieces of all the places I have been, the friends I have made, and the people I have loved. I’ve been stitched together by Bingo games and nickel slots, laughter and tears, naps, Jeopardy, late night conversations, music and dancing, the mercy of Jesus, and the smell of coffee. Kitty was born in Liboch, Czeck Republic, during WWII. Raised Catholic, she completed first communion and confirmation. In 1964, she immigrated to the United States, and in 1968 became a naturalized citizen. In 1971, Kitty met and married Carl L. Vick, a United States Army soldier. Until he retired in the early 80’s, his military career took them back and forth between parts of Germany and parts of the United States. Fighting through and overcoming a variety of health issues through-out her life, Kitty learned to persevere. Mostly smiling and looking out for those around her, she will be fondly remembered and missed. She was one tough cookie.

John 14:1-3 1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Before mom’s passing, we spoke of her heavenly mansion being full of puppies! In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter.
