One of the most notable things about Randy was His impenetrable sense of humor even throughout his illness. His love was unconditional and he was the most forgiving of men. He was an amazing father with so much wisdom to give. And his conversations were some of the most memorable. He attended L.D. Bell High School and shortly after graduation was sent to Vietnam during the Vietnam war to serve his country. He was a lead singer and harp player for many bands such as the rythemators, snooz you lose and the chinchillas. Music was one of his greatest loves in life after his family.
Preceded in death by his brother Thomas Pope.
He leaves his mother Peggy Garrett, daughter Maggie Mae Pope, son Chad Brandon Pope, his grandchildren, Brandon Pope and Wyatt Franklin, great grandson Easton Ray Pope, sister Sheila and brothers David and Kevin, many step siblings and friends.
His memorial service will be held at the East Texas Arboretum in Athens Texas at 3 o'clock on the 16th of December.
