Raised in Bridgeport of Spanish heritage (and loved to speak it to whom ever she could). She met the "love of her life" and dance partner Pat, married and had 3 children Patsy, Eddie and Lana.
In younger years Rosita & Pat would be found with family and friends doing what they loved most to do together; "dancing up a storm" on a Saturday night. Their favorite song to dance to was "Spanish Eyes", by Al Martino. The magic of them dancing would bring tears to your eyes. Sadly, Pat succumbed to a terminal illness and Rosita lovingly cared for him at their home till his passing. This was a turning point in her life at the age of 57.
Rosita worked at St. Vincent's Convent where she showed off her culinary talent cooking for the Priests & Nuns. Her most rewarding job was becoming a Nanny for Joe and Arlene Rocco's son Charlie for many years. Fortunately, the relationship continued through out her life. During this time she lived at Parish Court (FFLD) where she had many laughs with close friends.
At 72, she became a grandmother once again to her younger Grandson, Patrick which sparked her life and brought great joy. Rose's favorite moments would be times spent with her daughter Lana at her home in Oxford; where they would go shopping, cook some great meals, bake, entertain, and watch her Grandson grow, which made her proud. Those who knew Rose know that she had the ability to have you "tell all." She was a good listener and adviser with a great sense of humor. Rosie loved to sit and talk and laugh for hours in her nightgown and fuzzy slippers.
Until we meet again, never a "good-bye", but a "see you later." We love you Mom, you will never be gone from our hearts. Rest in peace.
She was the loving mother of Lana Mucherino and John (Pat), Patrick (Patsy) Petrocelli and Tammy, and Edward Petrocelli. Cherished grandmother of Patrick Mucherino, Patrick and Jennifer Petrocelli, Nicole Petrocelli-Beland, Christopher Demitri, Tara, Edward, Benedetto, and Christian Petrocelli.
Loving great-grandmother of Dominic and Leo Petrocelli, Kayden and Kendrick Beland, and Mia Demitri.
