David Edmund Stribley age 80 of Ann Arbor passed away from cancer on January 4, 2020 at Arbor Hospice in Saline Michigan. He was an Army Veteran and long-standing member of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) where he earned his Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow (OA) Vigil award as a youth. As an adult he served as Scoutmaster for Troop 71 in Ann Arbor and earned numerous awards for his volunteer service in the BSA and OA including the Silver Beaver and Dan Ling service awards. He worked as a commercial artist for a number of local advertising agencies throughout his career. During his retirement he enjoyed painting, Native American beadwork, and designing patches for the BSA and the OA. He attended Unity Church of Ann Arbor. He is survived by his son John (Sue) Stribley, grandchildren Karina, Jenna, and Sawyer, sister Patricia (Les) McCoy, and a number of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Irene Zadonsky, his previous wife Rosalie Japngie, and brother William Stribley. A memorial service will be held at noon on February 1, 2020 at Unity Church of Ann Arbor, 4599 Carpenter Rd., with visitation at 11 am and reception following service. His internment is TBD.
