Curley was a Member of First Baptist Church of Welsh and served has a Deacon for over 40 years. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in Okinawa. Curley retired from Century Link after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved spending time with family.
Left to cherish his memory are daughter, Gwen Breland of Lake Charles; son, Darrell Cormier of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Brandie Ollervidez and husband Philip of Lafayette, April Courville of Lafayette, Corey Cormier and Kehara Cormier of Oklahome; brothers, Melvin Cormier and Burley Cormier of Jennings, and Wilford Cormier of Beaumont; sister, Ida Ardoin of Jennings; and man he considered as a son, Jay Courville of Welsh.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Elnora Cormier and Ada Gibson.
Funeral service will be held at 10am, Wednesday, January 8, 2020,at First Baptist Church of Welsh. Rev. Pat Deshotel will officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery of Welsh.
