George was born in Roy, New Mexico on January 1, 1944. He graduated from Roy High School and shortly thereafter, joined his three brothers in Tucson, AZ.
He was married to Carol Joan Linson on September 9, 1966; they were married 53 years.
George worked as heavy equipment operator for 46 years in the copper mines near Tucson, AZ with a short duration working at the Kennecott Mine near Hayden, AZ. He was a master operator of the P&H Electric Mining Shovel holding the record for the most loads completed in a single shift. He enjoyed collecting coins and toy cars/trucks and dealing in second hand merchandise.
George is survived by his spouse, Carol Linson; Daughter, Vickie Bombard; Son, Marvin Linson and his wife Christy; and three grandchildren, Brandon, Megan, and Mackenzie Linson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
George is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Orval and Annie Linson; and his six brothers, Elmer, Ralph, Donald, Floyd, Lawrence, and Donnie Linson.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, January 18 at South Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Jay George from Tucson Mountain Baptist Church will be officiating. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to Joslin Diabetes Center at https://www.joslin.org.
