She was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, on February 16, 1967. She is survived by her son Jonathen Perocier, and her two daughters Jennifer Gomez and Michelle Ramos. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
In 2002, she proudly served in the United States Navy as a Culinary Specialist and in Customs among other roles, where she earned several awards, including: The National Defense Service Medal, Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon. She graduated from Salem International University in 2016 with a degree in Computer Science.
She was a master cook in the kitchen and her love showed each and every meal. Mirta had a strong affinity for the latest in technology and made it a habit to share it with family. Mirta or ‘Mama Bear’, as she was called by her children, was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful and loving memories.
