Walter Edward Farin, 88, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Friday January 10, 2020. Walter was born August 2, 1931 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Josef and Franziska Farin.
He attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst Albany Medical School.
Walter joined the Navy in 1961. During his 30 years of service he was stationed in San Diego, Japan and Guam. He met his wife, Norma, while in San Diego. They married in 1970, and he was stationed in Pensacola, Florida.
Walter was appointed the Chief of internal Medicine in 1972 and served in that position until 1984. He then continued to serve in Orlando and Camp LeJeune. Returning to Pensacola in 1991 and settled in for retirement in 1992.
An inurnment will take place on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 9:30 am
