William Francis Marren died on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Bucks County. He was sixty-seven years of age. Born in Abington, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Robert F. Marren and Margarethe Thurow. William was a long time resident of Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Marren graduated from Neshaminy High School and continued his education, obtaining an associate’s degree from Bucks County Community College. He was a retired employee with the Amtrak upper management I.T. department. He had been a worker there for thirty years. William was also a veteran of the United States Air Force, having received an honorable discharge.
William was a member of the Langhorne Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and muzzleloader shooter. He was also enthusiastic sports fan, taking interest in ice hockey and always rooting for his Philadelphia teams such as the Eagles and Flyers. In addition, he was a devoted member of the St. Ephrem Parish. He treasured the time with his wife and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Marren, brother, Clifford Thomas Jr., nephew Robert F. Marren III, and sister-in-law, Cindy Marren.
Now left to treasure his memory is his wife of twenty-eight years, Nancy. Also carrying on his legacy is his brother, Robert F. Marren Jr., and daughter, Melanie. He was the loving great uncle to great nephews, Killian,Tristan and Nick and great niece, Hunter. In addition, his brother, Christopher Marren and nephew, Shawn. Other surviving relatives include his niece, Erin (Kyle) Griffith, brothers, John (Kim) Marren and Gregory (Laura) Marren, sisters, Dawn and Sherry, Step Mother, Liz, sister-in-law, Carol Nyce, and Brother-in-law, Harry (Maria) Spires.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects Monday, January 27, 2020.
