Penny Adamo passed away peacefully on January 21, 2020 in the presence of her devoted husband, Joe and her beloved sons, Gregory and Joel. Born March 2, 1939, Barbara Flora “Penny” was the only child of David and Mildred Cohen of Macon, Georgia.

Penny immediately immersed herself in the community as a volunteer and supporter of the arts. She enthusiastically served on the boards of the Mobile Symphony, Mobile Opera Guild, Mobile Theatre Guild, Mobile Ballet, The American Red Cross and Penelope House. Her boundless desire to service continues to inspire others.
A gracious hostess and gourmet cook, she and husband, Joe, shared the joy of gardening and saturating their spacious home with a vast eclectic collection of art from around the world.
A voracious reader, always curious, always grateful, Penny embraced every day as an opportunity to make the world a kinder place. She cradled her family, her friends, her community and her faith.
