Frances Annette Estes, 82, of Allen, Texas passed away at her home on January 28th, 2020. She had a radiance about her that immediately attracted others to her. She was a giver of her love and friendship, both unconditionally. She was ready with a kind or encouraging word – or just a smile and a hug.
Fran was born on September 23rd, 1937, in Wood County, Texas to Marie and Roy Cox. She married Cliff Estes on September 24, 1960. They had two children, Brad and Valarie. She was a full time Mom and loved every minute of it. A true love developed when she became a grandmother. Annie and Preston put joy in her heart and a brilliant smile on her face. She never missed a game, a recital or a performance.
Fran had a passion for square dancing. She was a long-time member of the Texas Reelers Square and Round Dance Club. Fran deeply cherished the friendships that she made here. When Cliff retired, they embarked upon journeys that took them on cruises to Alaska, the Emerald Isle and to beautiful beaches on every shore. Even a trip to Oktoberfest in Germany. She and Cliff went many places, had great adventures – hand in hand. Fran truly lived life to the fullest until she was called home.
In addition to her husband Cliff, Fran is survived by her children, Brad and Valarie (Sean), Granddaughter Annie, Grandson Preston, sister Thelma Wansley, and brothers Robert and Willford Cox, her Best Friend Margaret and countless friends that love her.
A Celebration of Fran’s life will be held at 11:00 Saturday, February 1st at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 7990 President George Bush Dallas, 75252
