She was born on November 23, 1924, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Felice and Rose Guliana Quagliariello.
Family was at the center of everything Ann did. She was most happy when her entire family was in the kitchen cooking and celebrating together. She enjoyed being outside and took walks every day. She also spent a lot time gardening and was an avid reader. Eating out was also a favorite pass time and in her two years as a Mystic resident she frequented restaurants downtown. Ann was always eager to help others and was a volunteer to various organizations throughout her life.
Ann is survived by her sons Thomas Avitabile of St. Thomas, USVI, Louis Avitabile and his wife Anne of Phillipsburg, NJ; daughter Laura Wankel of Mystic; grandchildren Kathryn Fuller and her husband Barry, Bret Wankel, Nicole, Michael, and Kayla Avitabile; and great grandchild Grayson Fuller. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings Virginia Ferreri, Betty Fasano, Christy Gallo, Vincent, Frank, and Santo Quagliariello.
A memorial mass to celebrate Ann’s life will be held 10AM Monday February 3rd, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Church (32 East Main Street, Mystic, CT).
