Celebration of Life Service for Wilber M. Nichols, 80, are set for 2:00 pm Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Minster Ron Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Gardens.
Wilber died February 1, 2020 at his residence. He was born June 4, 1939 in Guys, TN. to the late Clarence and Violet Nichols. He was a member of the Theo Church of Christ. He had a long work history including sawmill, bakery, construction and truck driving. Wilber retired from Quebecor World after 23 years of service as an AA Boiler Operator. He enjoyed camping, fishing, working on cars, especially Dodge roadrunners. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darrow Nichols; sister Catherine Montgomery; father-in-law Wallace Hutson; mother-in-law, Melba Hutson Dixon.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years. Rebecca Hutson Nichols; daughter, Angela Heavener (Andy); grandchildren, John Michael Tullis, Alexanderia Ashley Tullis and their father Dewayne Tullis; host of other family and friends.
Nephews will service as pallbearers.
Family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Tuesday from 12:00 to service time.
