Raymond Gerard (Jerry) Robinson, of Collierville, TN. passed away on January 30, 2020, at the age of 94. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Janella. He is survived by his sons E. Mark Robinson (Diane) of Germantown, TN and Kenneth J. Robinson (Carmen) of Hattiesburg, Ms. His four grandchildren of whom he treasured and adored, Matthew Robinson "Paw Paw's Buddy", "Sweet Caroline" Robinson Martin (Jay), Christina Robinson and Elena Robinson Rodriguze (Jeff) and two great grandchildren James Michael Rodriguze and Eloise Rodriguze. Jerry was born in New Haven, Ct. on October 19, 1925. He received his bachelor's degree from Strayer College in Washington D. C. in 1949. He served as a special agent with the FBI in Springfield IL., Knoxville TN., Chattanooga TN, Philadelphia Pa., and Washington D. C. He retired from the Mobile, AI. FBI field office after 33 years of service in 1978. He held many offices with the FBI Retired .Agents Society including secretary/treasurer. Vice chairman, and chairman of the South Alabama Chapter. He also had been the family assistant representative of the chapter.
After retirement, he was employed as chief investigator with Rucker Security from 1979-1986 and with SIoke and Associates from 1981 to 1989.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 2:45 on Friday February 7, 2020 at Pine Crest Cemetery, followed by a brief service and interment. A reception will follow in the Heritage House at Pine Crest Cemetery.
