John was born to Mary and Melvin Johnson on November 29, 1954. He was fourth of the eventual seven siblings. John spent the majority of his life in various parts of Wisconsin, except for a few years living and working with his favorite nephews in Minnesota. John graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1972. He followed in his big brother Jerry's footsteps and attended UW Stout in Menomonie. He graduated in 1976 with a degree in Applied Mathematics. The boys faithfully attended homecoming every year along with their best friend Mikey.
John had many passions including golf, fishing, camping, football (go Bears!) and music. He loved to use his Boy Scout skills to build fires, and many memorable evenings were spent huddled around with friends and family, relaxing and drinking beer. John was a professional bachelor. He kept his home and life organized just the way he wanted it, while finding room for several feline furbabies over the years. John was an industrious worker throughout his career in the insurance, technology, and public utility sectors.
John handled personal losses of those who passed before him, and now we do the same. The many family, friends, and coworkers who miss him dearly are encouraged to share their memories. Inurnment will be private in the Chapel of Love at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Johnny, you're gone much too soon and we can't wait to meet again. With all our love, Jerry, Annie, Suzy, and Mikey.
