He will join in Heaven his soul mate and wife of 60+ years Johnnie Wallace; parents, Cornelius King and Nellie Brook Dennis Wallace; siblings, Juanita Lucas, Louise Camp, and baby Sister Wallace.

Mr. Wallace was well known to the residence of Shelby and Bibb County. It is said that he never met a stranger and most of those who knew him can attest to this. He never hesitated to say hello, sit for a spell or offer help to anyone he came across. Dovid loved to sing and play music; he used his many talents to bring glory to the Lord. Over the years he sang in many quartets and at many churches, played the guitar and bass, made CD's and occasionally snuck off with his granddaughter, Kaili, for their own special adventures to spread the gospel. Dovid spent his career making patterns for train wheels with ABEX transportation. He retired after 41 years but could still spot his designs to this day. In his spare time Mr. Wallace enjoyed rabbit hunting, sling shooting for squirrels, and farming, which he preferred to with his own two hands. He raised and trained beagles, one of which was a champion. He was one of the first in Alabama to grow sugarcane and was also one of the first in Montevallo to have grown bananas off of his own banana tree. He also grew peanuts, and kept bees to make his own honey. He loved Tomatoes, cherry trees, and anything that grew red. Dovid Wallace was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family as often as he could. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him
