William Frank Bednarek passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at the age of 75 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Houston, TX to Willie and Julia Bednarek on March 27, 1944 and baptized April 2, 1944 at All Saints Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie S. Bednarek and mother, Julia V. Bednarek, sister Mary Ann Bednarek, grandparents, and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara, his son Craig and wife Dana Bednarek, his daughters Angela Bryan and husband Danny, Lisa Zela, and Susan Bednarek, his grandchildren Courtney Bednarek, Christa Bednarek, Elizabeth Stempuhowski, Julie Stempuhowski, Colton Zela and Tanner Zela.
William served in the U.S Army from 1965 to 1967, married the love of his life Barbara on August 13, 1966 and settled in his hometown of Houston to raise his family. William was employed and retired from Houston Center Valve and Fitting in Houston where he worked for 37 years. William enjoyed fishing, gardening, collecting model trucks, cars, trains, a good barbecue, anything Polish, and he dearly loved his wife and family up until God called him home.
A visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday the 14th of February 2020 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm with rosary starting at 7:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX., 77079. A funeral service will held on Saturday the 15th of February beginning at 10:00 am.
