100 years of age. Born in Blind River, Ontario. Died peacefully Feb. 8, 2020 with her three daughters by her side. The proud matriarch of five generations all inspired by and grateful for her amazing life. Predeceased by beloved husband Dr. W. Elliott Keith (1994), infant son Charles (1948) and by her siblings Norman, Marion and Vernon. Will forever be in the hearts of daughters Marion Keith (David DeKindt), Margaret Keith (James Brophy) and Joan Desjarlais (Bryan.) Grandchildren Daniel Cockerham (Nadine Mansour), Laura Ackermann (Paul), Jane McArthur, Mary McArthur (Dale Woitte), John McArthur (Erika), Allison Desjarlais (Steve Doyle) Jeffery Desjarlais (Dragana), Michael. Great grandchildren Amy (Ben), Lauren (Christopher), Aelwynn, Eleanor, Erin, Ellen, Andrew, Elliott, Anderson, Emerson, Aila, Spencer, Sam, Lucas and Connor. Great great grandchildren Jameson, Jackson (2010) and Christopher. Many treasured nieces and nephews will miss their Aunt Ellie. A passionate learner, feminist, pastoral counsellor, singer, writer, friend to everyone she met, including her companions, both staff and residents, of St. Clair Beach Retirement Home where she gave the gift of herself to spread happiness and love. We offer our heartfelt gratitude to her wonderful LHIN, Paramed, and VON e-shift care providers and to Dr. D. Soulliere and the Met Campus medical team. We are forever grateful to Reverend Robin Sherman for her steadfast and loving support.
