Born in Ainsworth Nebraska, March 19, 1927, as Julia Fay Ferguson. Julia was raised in Ainsworth with her two sisters, Josephine and Joyce and her brother Newton. She was the youngest of the four siblings. Growing up, Julia learned to play the clarinet and enjoyed being in the school band. After high school she moved from Nebraska to New Mexico and then to Riverside California to live with her sister Joyce. Living in Riverside, she first worked for the phone company, then later was employed at March Air Force Base during World War II.
In 1948 Julia married CH "Chuck" Musgrove. They were married almost 40 years. While raising three children, Julia was employed for many years doing bookkeeping for The Press Enterprise Newspaper in Riverside.
Julia was an accomplished seamstress, learning from her mother the art of making clothing for her children. This was something she enjoyed and was skilled at. She made numerous dresses and shirts for the family growing up.
Julia had a strong sense of family. She made sure her kids were well educated, that included going to church and to respect others. She took her kids to swim lessons every summer to make sure they could all swim well. She taught her children to be responsible and to know the difference between right and wrong. Her strong work ethic, which she instilled in her children by requiring them to do homework and chores as soon as they got home from school, help her succeed in raising three successful children.
In 1972 Chuck and Julia built a custom home outside of town and farmed over 30 acres of citrus. Later in life, Julia became a Real Estate agent for more than 25 years. She was successful at not only buying and selling homes, but specialized in land sales. Julia was ambitious, hardworking and always up for a challenge. In 1989 Julia received a special award from Tarbell Reality for 7 million dollars in sales.
Julia loved nature; she enjoyed plants, animals, her pet dogs and living on the farm.
Julia leaves behind her three loving children, Jackie Riegger of Scottsdale Arizona, Connie Musgrove of Arnold Maryland, and Kerry Musgrove and his wife Sue of North Tustin California, Five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Julia will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505.
