It is with heart felt sadness that we announce the passing of Josh. He passed away peacefully at home as a result of a heart attack on Sunday February 9th, 2020. Born July 9, 1953 at home in Bear River, NS.
He was the son of the late Watson and Francis (Parker) Peck. He worked for Peck Auto Glass for over 34 years and has enjoyed retirement for the past few years. He was a volunteer for the Bear River Fire Department. Josh loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Bear River Advent Christian Church. Music was also a big part of Josh’s life. He enjoyed playing his trumpet at church, with the Dixie Hicks and many late nights at home. He also had a love for wood working and made many beautiful gifts for his family and friends. He was always willing and able to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed taking pictures and saw beauty in nature and the simple things in life. He especially loved his trips out west to visit his daughters and their families. He always looked forward to the next adventure. Josh will be remembered for his funny, unique sense of humor, kind and gentle heart and willingness to help others. Many will remember his beautiful trumpet playing that he often shared.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Rachel (Wagner), daughters Danay (Vinit), Heidi (Jamie) and grandson Ary; brothers Eddie (Jean), Lindsey (Gayle), Brinley (Candi); sisters Joy Shaw (Morley), Lexi Morgan (Greg) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
