Mr. Good was a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and entered into the United States Army during World War II where he served as a communications officer. After completing his military service he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he finished his masters program in statistics and market research at Emory University. Mr. Good retired from Bellsouth after 36 years of service in the market research department, then started his own company that he lead for 15 years. He also taught statistics and market research at Emory University along with speed reading and was an officer in the Toastmasters International for many years. Sam was a member of Kiokee Baptist Church where he enjoyed being a part of his Sunday school class and was a member of a mens singing group which performed for other churches and in many nursing homes in the area. Sam lived a life that reflected the law of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, by living a life of love and service to others and he will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Mr. Good is preceded in death by his wife, Nedda Lynette Good; and daughter, Pamela Ann Good and Donna Good Irvin. Survivors include his daughter Diane Roberts (Billy); grandchildren, Nikki Braselton Motley (Brent), Kyle Braselton, Lindsey Irvin (Grant), Alex Braselton, Joshua Braselton, Dillon Roberts and Savannah Roberts; and great-grandchildren, Phoebe and Lily.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 29 from 10 AM to 12 PM with a memorial service following at The Sanctuary in Evans Georgia 4584 Cox Rd. Evans,GA 30809. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kiokee Baptist Building Fund, 2520 Ray Owens Rd. Appling, GA 30802.
