Bill was born on October 13, 1929 in Guerrant, Kentucky to Elias and Mayme (Gilbert) Mullins. He attended OakDale Christian School, Lee’s Junior College then Greenville College where he received his bachelor’s degree in education. He received his Master’s of Educational Administration from the University of Illinois. On August 20th, 1949, he married Norma Arminda Randlett. They raised 2 sons, Jim and Jeff, and three daughters, Janice, Carla Jill and Julie Beth.
A true Renaissance man, his successful career included education, manufacturing and electrical contracting. He loved carpentry, history books, gardening, model trains and travel. But his greatest joy was found in his faith and his family. His faith inspired him to a life of joyful service. He gave his time and knowledge as a church board member, an usher and a participant in mission trips. He was always ready to help a family member or friend with a building project.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Mayme Mullins, his brothers Wayne and Ray and his sisters Laura Jane, Myra Ruth and Pauline. He is survived by his wife Norma, his 5 children, Jim, Janice, Carla Jill, Julie Beth and Jeff, his 8 grandchildren, his 8 great grandchildren, his sister, Glenna Barnett and his brother, Paul Mullins.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on Friday, February 28th, 2020 at the Worship and Life Center in Cedar Lake Village at 15325 S. Lone Elm Road, Olathe, Kansas at 2:00 p.m.
