Dwight Lafate Whaley 83 of Seymour went to be with the Lord Monday March 2, 2020. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Alcoa Aluminum after 30 years. Dwight was an avid fisherman and loved to make his own Crappie flies. He loved to garden and tend his fruit trees. He was preceded in death by wife of 49 years Marion Faye Whaley; parents, Clyde and Willie Whaley; brother, David Whaley;sister, Ruby (Harold) Romines; brother-in-law, Tom McCarter. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Patricia (Arnold) England; grandchildren, Mandy (Richard) Eggers and Megan (Timothy) Dyer; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Maddilynn and Mylah; sister, Ruth McCarter and several nieces and nephews and special cousin Breanna Carpenter; special brother-in-law, Buster (Jimmie) Norton.
