Adrienne Portier Daigle, age 73, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana passed away on Monday March 9, 2020. Adrienne was born November 12, 1946 in New Orleans, LA to Adrian Israel Portier and Elma Grey Bates Portier, both of whom preceded her in death.
Adrienne met her husband Henry while they were both living in New Orleans, where they were married, later moving to Moss Bluff, where they have resided for the last 46 years. Adrienne was a faithful member of the Moss Bluff United Methodist Church. She was a dedicated member of both the choir and the United Methodist Women’s group and was also the secretary there for several years. She enjoyed line dancing weekly with all her friends at the Moss Bluff Senior Center.
An avid sports fan, Adrienne loved watching sports of all kinds, particularly when her children or grand-children were involved. She also enthusiastically followed both LSU (Geaux Tigers!) and the New Orleans Saints. She loved playing word games of all kinds with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Henry Daigle; two sons, Andrew Daigle of Moss Bluff, LA and Mark Daigle (wife Jaime and daughter Anna) of San Antonio, TX; and daughter Becky Richard (husband Tate and sons Mason and Tyce) of Deridder, LA. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents.
The family will welcome friends at Moss Bluff United Methodist Church at 735 Sam Houston Pkwy Lake Charles, LA 70611 on Thursday, March 12, 2020 starting at 9:00am with a memorial service following at 10:00am.
