Ledys Beatriz Boscán de Villasmil nació en Maracaibo, Venezuela el 06 de Julio de 1954, era la novena hija de catorce hermanos. Sus padres fueron Antonio José Boscán Villalobos y Edilia Fuenmayor Villalobos.
Su infancia transcurrió en unidad y armonía en una familia numerosa. Asistió a la escuela secundaria, obteniendo un diploma de Educación el 16 de Julio de 1972.
El 04 de Marzo de 1972 se bautizó en la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días en Maracaibo con sus padres y algunos hermanos, en total 7, lo que fue un verdadero bautismo de oro.
El 26 de Agosto de 1980 fue sellada en matrimonio en el Templo de Washington D.C. a Víctor Villasmil. Tuvo dos hijos, Ledys Edilaid quien nació el 30 de Mayo de 1981 y Víctor Antonio el 30 de Diciembre de 1983.
En la Iglesia sirvió en muchos llamamientos: Maestra de Seminarios e Institutos, Presidenta de Primaria y Sociedad de Socorro de Estaca, Presidenta de Mujeres Jóvenes de Barrio, Directora de Música, Consultora de Historia Familiar, Obrera del Templo, y junto con su esposo fueron llamados a Presidir la Misión Perú Lima Sur el 06 de Enero de 1992 por el presidente Gordon B. Hinckley, desempeñándose como Presidentes de Misión desde el 01 de Julio de 1992 hasta el 16 de Octubre de 1994. El 08 de Diciembre de 2005 emigraron a los Estados Unidos, estableciéndose en West Jordan, Utah hasta la fecha presente.
Verdaderamente nuestra hija, hermana, esposa, madre, abuela y amiga ha sido una gran maestra, nos ha dado ejemplos de obediencia y cumplimiento a los convenios, y una mujer que ha mostrado un gran amor por su familia.
Nos ha dejado un gran legado, y ha ayudado a muchos de sus hermanos y familiares fallecidos con el programa de Historia Familiar. Ha encontrado familiares en su décima séptima generación.
Nunca olvidaremos a nuestra amada Ledys. Aunque existe un vacío en nuestras vidas, sabemos que esta separación es parte del Plan de Salvación y algún día volveremos a reunirnos y disfrutar de su compañía, especialmente escuchar sus consejos y su bella voz para entonar los sagrados himnos.

Ledys Beatriz Boscán de Villasmil was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela on July 6th, 1954, the ninth child among fourteen brothers and sisters. Her parents were Antonio José Boscán Villalobos and Edilia Fuenmayor Villalobos.
Her childhood was spent in family unity and harmony, with a large family and primary school. When the time came to attend secondary education, she chose a career in teaching, receiving a degree in Education on July 16th, 1972.
On March 4th, 1972, she was baptized with her parents and some of her siblings, seven in total, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in her hometown of Maracaibo, truly a golden baptism.
On August 26th, 1980, she was sealed for time and eternity in the Washington D.C. Temple to Victor Villasmil. They had two children, Ledys Edilaid, on May 30th, 1981, and Víctor Antonio, on December 30th, 1983.
She served in many capacities within the Church: Seminary and Institute Teacher, Stake Primary and Relief Society President, Young Women’s President, Chorister, Family History Consultant, and together with her husband, they were called to serve as Mission Presidents of the Perú Lima South Mission on January 6th, 1992, by President Gordon B. Hinckley, serving from July 1st, 1992 to October 16th, 1994.
On December 8th, 2005, they emigrated to the United States, to live in West Jordan, Utah until the present time.
Truly our daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend has been a great teacher, has given us a great example of obedience and keeping covenants, and as a woman that has shown great love for her family and for the Gospel covenants.
She has given us a great legacy, and has helped many of her brothers and sisters and relatives that have passed with Family History. She has found relatives up to the seventeen generation.
We will never forget our beloved Ledys, while there exists a void in our lives, we know that this separation is but a part of the Plan of Salvation and that one day we will be together and will enjoy of her company, specially to listen to her counsel and her beautiful voice.
Survived by her husband, Victor Ramón Villasmil, and children: Ledys Chemin (Louis Chemin, III), Victor Antonio Villasmil (Michelle Villasmil) and seven grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings: Hilda, Lilia, Nelly, Angela, Isabel, Thars, Antonio, & Teresa.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at noon at the Westland 5th Ward Building at 7171 South 2700 West, West Jordan, Utah 84084 with a visitation 2 hours prior.
Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley, 13001 South 3600 West, Riverton, Utah 84065
