Dorothy Alice (Plumb) Holyoak was born March 31, 1924 in Yuma, Arizona to Hugh Plumb and Ethel (Addy) Plumb. She married Virgil Holyoak in 1940 and together they had 10 children. In 1957 she moved to Washington, living briefly on a hill overlooking Liberty Lake, before moving to Spokane and buying a house in the Perry District. There, she raised her children and ran a daycare from her home.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Ethel Plumb, sisters Bessie Thorpe and Margie McCleve, brothers Gene Plumb and Don Plumb, and her children Dorothy Jean Wyant, Virgil Floyd Holyoak, and Terry La Von Holyoak. She is survived by her children Allen Lee Holyoak, Patricia Jane Holyoak, Paulie Louise Fair, David Keith Holyoak, Bradley Hugh Holyoak, Derek Holyoak, and Laura Lynn Erickson, 20 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was well loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
