Ken cherished time with his family and we all hold special memories of our time with him. He was the “rock” of our family, closely followed by our cherished mom. Ken fought a hard fight, positively and lived his life to the fullest. At his weakest moments he would smile and tell us “I’m fine” “How are you?” Never a complaint and always worried about “mom” who was by his side throughout his 6 year battle. She nursed and supported him through the roughest hours and their love for each other was like no other.
Ken lit up the lives of others, affectionately referred to as the “Walmart greeter” at the local post office to retail outlets. He was proud of all his children and grandchildren’s accomplishments and was their biggest supporter throughout the years, always with a big hug and a “you got this kid!” in our ear.
Ken will be dearly missed by family and friends. Many good friends and family have gone before him and his family takes comfort that he is in good company. Who knows… maybe he has a new “Walmart greeter” position!
Family and friends are cordially invited to celebrate Ken’s life at a graveside service which will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Balcarres Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. followed by visitation to his beloved “backyard deck”.
