Born in Sydney, May 24, 1953. Kevin was the son of the late Lena and Alfred Carew. He was born and raised in Whitney Pier and remained there to bring up his own family. Kevin always had a story about his days growing up on Railroad Street. Kevin enjoyed many things in his life. He was always the happiest listening to country music, playing in the band, cleaning his cars and watching his grandkids in concerts and playing sports. He spent many summers with his family at the bungalow out on the Mira. Kevin was always up for having a good time. In his later years, he enjoyed walking at the mall and going for coffee with his good friend, Bobby Rowe. Kevin also enjoyed doing puzzles and chatting with his friends at the building.
Kevin is survived by his two sons, Kris and Brad (Charlotte); grandchildren, Alexandra, Kenzie, Ava and Brady; companion, Susan MacNeil and her daughters, Amy MacNeil (Matt), Beckie Inder (Brandon) and his granddaughter, Sophia. Kevin is also survived by his sisters, Joan (Steve) MacKenzie, New Brunswick, Elaine (Martin) Matheson, Sydney, brother, George, Sydney and sisters-in-law, Rena, Deborah and Donna, all of Sydney.
He was predeceased by his wife, Arlene; brothers, Louis, Gerald and Bernie; sister Shirley and sister-in-law Judy.
