Cindy was born the oldest daughter of Shirley Ann and Paul Majors on Tuesday, July 9, 1957 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She lived with us for 62 years, 8 months and seven days. Cindy, a Cancer in the Zodiac, was true to traits of having a high degree of creativity and imagination. She chose to express those talents through her love of the arts. An accomplished painter, Cindy also excelled in many other mediums as evidenced throughout her beautiful Gulf Breeze home.
Cindy’s family was her primary passion, her reason for living. Her daughter, Trinity, and grandchildren, Sadie (11) and Tyler (8), were her greatest sources of pride and joy. She loved the life she built with Paul, her beloved husband of almost 25 years. She was mom to a doxie, Ginger, and two cats, Sally and Simone. Cindy and Paul were hosts to almost every extended family function. They had the party house and the doors were always open. She also hosted weekly swim get-togethers in the summertime for family looking for a little exercise, and holds the family record for most laps swam in their pool!
As a devoted military spouse, Cindy traveled the world and lived in many exotic locations. She loved to immerse herself in the local culture and even now you’ll always find kimchi in her refrigerator. She’s lived in Seoul South Korea, Okinawa Japan, and Honolulu Hawaii, San Antonio Texas, New Orleans Louisiana and one or two others. But when came time to settle down about 11 years ago, coming back home to the Gulf Coast of Florida was never in question.
Cindy grew up in West Pensacola and was sister to Connie, Susie, Lynn, and Scott. She was raised by her mom, Shirley and stepfather, Willie (a/k/a Granny and Papa), along with her Aunt Judy who came to live with the family in her teens. Cindy was a Brownie, Girl Scout, baton twirler, cheerleader, softball pitcher, sorority sister, artist and a New Orleans Saint’s fan. Cindy graduated from Escambia High School, class of ’75.
Cindy loved her childhood summers spent in Oklahoma with her Dad, Aunt Ethel, and with her enormous number of extended relatives – 21 aunts & uncles and over 50 first cousins. Cindy was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation and descended from the tribe’s ‘Beloved Woman,’ Nancy Ward.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Paul Majors; and her stepsister Lynn Crowson.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley Scott Williamson and step-father, MC Williamson Jr; her beloved husband, Paul Wiese, and daughter Trinity Ellis and son-in-law Chris; her grandchildren Sadie and Tyler Ellis; her surviving siblings, Connie Wynne, Susan Combs and her partner Bob Heinz III, and MC (Scott) Williamson III and his wife Amanda.
