Iris J. Hurley, 89 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on July 1, 1930 in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Roland and Mossie (Haynes) Pennington. On May 27, 1967 she married the love of her life, Arnold Hurley and he preceded her in death on January 27, 2002. Iris had started her career at Cincinnati Bell, then Mosler Safe Company for over 30 years, where she retired as office manager. Iris is survived by her two daughters, Lorraine “Suzie” (Danny) Sheehan and Patricia (Michael) Kuykendall; 8 grandchildren, Danny Sheehan, Jr., Kenny (Pam) Sheehan, Robert Sheehan, Jenna (Joseph) King, Jina (Vince) Goans, Christina (Wes) Shepherd, Micki (Ed) Asher and Tricia (Brian) Carroll; 24 great grandchildren; step-son, Gerald (Julie) Mitchell and his daughter Alanna; her brother, LeRoy (Joyce) Pennington, and John Wise, special friend to Iris and the family. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Faye Kohler. Funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 12pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Wurzelbacher officiating. Interment will follow at Millville Cemetery.
