It is with great sadness that the family of Lisabeth Fiorito (née Troche) announces her passing. After a long battle with COPD, Lisa took her final breaths in the early hours of Monday, March 16 at the age of 65.
Lisa was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. After graduating from Our Lady of Perpetual Help HS, her family relocated to Staten Island. While working in the payroll department at Deloitte and Touche in 1977 and EF Hutton in 1978, she met her beloved husband, Ron, who would bring fresh flowers to her desk every Friday.
Lisa poured her creativity, passion, and generous spirit into her family and community. She selflessly served on PTA’s and Community Boards at PS 50, PS 29 and IS 27 for over 18 years as PTA Secretary, Vice President, and President. She tirelessly shuttled her children to dance classes, soccer, basketball, pageants, CCD, Girl Scouts, sleepovers, and auditions. She sheltered and fed her daughters’ friends, schoolmates, and several misfit boyfriends. She excelled at crafting, could bowl 200, gardened with varying degrees of success, enjoyed museums, zoos, the beach, and so much more and always kept up to date on the NY Yankees.
Beloved by many, Lisa is predeceased by parents Antoinette and Hector, sister Marie, and foster brother Anthony. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Ronald, daughters Carol, Laura, and Alyssa, grandchildren Zephyr, Remy, and Penelope, cousins Diane and Alice, nephews Erik and Paul, and will be missed by many more cousins, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
Visitors can pay their respects at Casey Funeral Home, 2-4pm and 7-9pm, Friday, March 20th. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Church Saturday, March 21 for family only, followed by interment at the family plot at Moravian Church Cemetery.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
