Monroe was a man who loved his country, his church, and his family. He honorably served his country for serval years in the United States Army. He attended Ordinance School in Aberdeen, Maryland in 1954, where he became number one in the class. Later in life, he owned and operated South Shreveport Motors, for over 40 years. He was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church for 54 years. He enjoyed stock car racing and classic car shows. Most of all, he was dedicated to his family, whom he loved dearly. He truly never met a stranger.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jaynee Belcher Daniel; daughter, Candice Hunter and her husband, Henry; granddaughter, Kristin Censullo and her husband, Tom; grandson, Kyle Hunter and his wife Tory; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jim Daniel; his parents; and his sister, Linda Daniel Cramer.
A visitation for Monroe will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, please come to leave condolences for the family at your leisure, to prevent large groups. The family will be having a private service. An interment will occur at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Road, Keithville, Louisiana 71047 at a later time.
The family would like to express thanks to the Harrison County Sheriff Department and EMS, friends, and neighbors, for their compassion during this difficult time.
