Ervin Fields was born February 22, 1934 in Riesel, Texas to the parentage of: Ervin Fields, Sr. and Floye E. Quintons. He graduated from Moore High School in 1952.
He married Lonzetta Bowser on April 7, 1954 and remained a devoted husband. Together, they raised a son and a daughter. Along with their young son and daughter, they moved to California in 1966 where Ervin worked as a grocery clerk for 31 years. He was a locksmith after he retired.
He received his wings bound for heaven on March 13, 2020 and has been put to rest next to his beloved wife.
Survivors are: daughter - Cathy J. Dewitt; son - E. Ray Fields; grandchildren - Zuberi Fields, Khalfani Fields, Talibah Fields and William Dewitt; great-granddaughter - Jasmine Fields; sisters - Ruby Fay Bryant and Ethel Brown; brothers - Carl Edward Fields, Bobby Joe Fields and Orlando Waterman; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
