Doris Marie Wood

She was born August 16, 1934 in Providence, R.I. Her wonderful kind humor will be missed by everyone she touched in her life. Her passion for life was always strong.

She married her lifetime friend and soul mate Milton Wood on September 6, 1954. Together they began an adventure that took them around the world as an Air Force family. She was a wonderful Mother to seven children and many others that came into her life.

She was a devout Catholic and loved attending church. Doris loved dancing, camping, traveling, and most of all UT football. She also loved anything Disney and cooking for her family during the holidays. Decorating the house for Christmas was always a fun production.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Milton F. Wood and son Milton D. Wood. She is survived by her son, Michael Wood and wife, Ronda Wood of Austin, Texas, Daughter Carol Hamilton and Husband Don Hamilton of Leander, Texas, son Donald Wood and wife Kim Wood of Georgia, Robert Wood and wife Kathy Wood of The Colony, Texas, William Wood and wife Brenda Wood of Austin, Texas and Kenneth Wood and wife Claudia Wood of Austin. Grandchildren, Rebecca Jarvis and Christian Jarvis, William Egger and Serena Egger, Matt Wood and Renee Wood, Tanner Wood, Katy Wood, Ryan Wood, Emily Wood, Joe wood, Brianna Wood and Paul Wood. 3 great grandchildren Brandon and Damon Jarvis and Kayden Egger. Many nieces and nephews from California to Maine and in-between and so many other honorary family members who have always been a part of our wonderful family.

A private service due to the pandemic will be held and officiated by Pedro Barrera III on March 23, 2020, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks.

We will have a celebration and gathering of family and friends at a later date.
