Jimmy Breedlove, 85 of Chattanooga passed away with his family by his side on March 20, 2020. He was a graduate of Central High School. Jimmy served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He served on the U.S.S. Maddox 731. Jimmy retired from Koch Foods after 50 years of service. He was one of the 1st inductees to the Tennessee Poultry Hall of Fame in 2013. He was an avid University of Tennessee fan. He attended numerous football and basketball games. Most of all he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, daughter, Sandy Shipley, parents, John and Maude Breedlove, sister, Patsy Kemp, and his brothers, Donald and John Breedlove.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jimmie (Ray) Brant, Teresa Breedlove, and Debbie (Gary) Holder, grandchildren, Jodi (Steve) Bolin, Shawn (Shanna) Rogers, Chad (Amber) Rogers, Sky (Brandon) Stubblefield, and Daniel Jones, Brothers, Robert (Wanda) Breedlove, Fred Breedlove, Larry (Tina) Breedlove, and a sister, Val Jean Berry, numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Jimmy’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Tuesday March 24, 2020 at 12:30 pm. The family will receive friends Monday evening at the funeral home from 4-8 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
