Jeanne was born in Pierce City, Missouri on August 1, 1920 to the late Edward T. and Norma (Chandler)
Ecroyd. After high school, Jeanne graduated from the University of Missouri, School of Journalism. On
August 14, 1943, she married Edmund M. Falk Jr., who later preceded her in death on April 11, 1992.
Jeanne and her late husband were the owners and operators of the Credit Bureau of Coshocton and the
Credit Bureau of Cambridge. Prior to this, she had been a copywriter and broadcaster at a radio station
in Joplin, MO and was an advertising manager in a department store in Joplin and Enid, OK.
Jeanne was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, where she served on the Vestry, altar guild and as
a chalice bearer. She was past president of the Junior Women’s Club and served for many years on the
Salvation Army Advisory Board. She was the Chairman of the Board during the Citadel’s expansion. She
was an early volunteer at Roscoe Village and served for 25 years. She was a member of the Roscoe
Village Foundation, the Pomerene Center for the Arts, the Coshocton Foundation, the Historical Society,
the Coshocton Footlight Players and a life member of the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum. She was
also a member of the AAUW, PEO and Sorosis Clubs.
Her family was the most important thing in her life, and they are what she lived for. She was a devoted
dog lover and enjoyed helping others, reading and playing bridge.
Jeanne is survived by her two daughters, Suzy (Tom) Tuggle and Channy (Bill)
Gotfredson, son, Mike (Jane) Falk, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Per Jeanne’s wishes, a cremation will take place with a memorial service held at a later date. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Coshocton Salvation Army or any charity of the donor’s choice.
