Rose Rainford Howe, was born to Cecil Charles Rainford and Mirelda McDonald Rainford in Oracabessa, St. Mary Jamaica on September 25, 1935 and passed away on March 23, 2020, she was 84 years of age.
Sister Rose or Aunt Rose, as she was affectionately called by many, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was married to the love of her life Martin Howe (affectionately called Brother Ned), for fifty years until God called him home in 2016. We are confident that she has been reunited with him, as well as her oldest sister, Thelma (Alie) D'Agular.
Sister Rose was a dedicated Christian, it was her greatest joy to serve alongside her husband as a minister's wife. She was also passionate about education, serving the elderly and those less fortunate. She was a faithful volunteer at the Healy Center, the county jail, as well as various other organizations.
Sister Rose valued family and embraced everyone. She would often say "family is everything." Her unexpected departure leaves a hole in the hearts of her family. She leaves behind her four children, Deborah, James (Sunny), Ruth and John (Jamie), her stepson, Howard, her grandson Jourdain, her three remaining sisters, Edna Williams, Florice (Flor) Headlam and her identical twin, Hazel (Pearl) Perry. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, those who she "adopted" to be a part of the family and many friends.
Due to the restrictions imposed by the current pandemic, a private graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3rd. Our immediate family invites all extended family and friends to join us for a public celebration of life on September 25, 2020, at 11:00 am at Christ Fellowship, South Campus, located at 5343 Northlake Blvd. Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
