Alicia Elizabeth Waldron Springer of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the age of 78. She was born September 12, 1941 in Haynesville, Louisiana to Wilbur Waldron and Ellen Cross Waldron.
Alicia attended the nursing program at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, before starting her job at P & S Hospital. She was married for 50 years, to the love of her life, Jim. Together they had two children, a company, and a lifetime. Her husband and her co-owned Computer Aided Technologies for many years.
She enjoyed sewing and traveling. She got to travel to four continents during her life, but her favorite place she traveled was Ireland. She also liked anything to do with Indian Culture. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, whom she cherished.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James “Jim” Springer; two sons, James W. Springer and Paul A. Springer and wife Gina Fefel Springer; five grandchildren, Jordan Stroud and Fiancé, Stephanie “Izzy” Madrid, Eric Springer, Rayven Springer and Fiancé, Aaron Kracman, Michael Springer and Jill Springer; great grandchild, Dean Kracman; sister, Virginia Waldron Dillingham; two brothers, Wilbur Francis Waldron and wife Laura Jane and Ralph Waldron; sisters-in-law, Kay Waldron and Nancy Waldron; six nieces, five nephews, and seven great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Robert Waldron and Stuart Waldron; sister-in-law, Nina Waldron; and brother-in-law, Dennis Dillingham.
A celebration of life memorial service for Alicia will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Rev. Mark Watson of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church will be officiating the services.
