David Michael Findlay, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2020, in East Lansing, Michigan. Born December 16, 1940, David was a 1963 graduate of Central Michigan University. He was a businessman and insurance underwriter for many years. He was good at all sports, enjoying golf, fishing and hunting with friends, canoeing down Michigan rivers, and time spent with family on Lake Mecosta. In 1974 he won the Triple Crown in his AAA baseball league.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Charlotte Findlay, and his sister-in-law Karen Lycoff.
David will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bonne B. Findlay; his daughter, Jana (Daniel Hurley) of Okemos and Kara (Randy Gucwa) of Naperville, IL; niece, Laura (Ian Corrunker) of Redford, MI; brother, John of Cape Coral, FL; and grandchildren, Jacob Findlay, Samantha Gucwa, and Jameson Hurley.
In accordance with his wishes no service will be held. The family will gather this summer and a tree will be planted in his memory.
