Albert was born at his grandparents’ house on the farm southwest of Montmartre, Saskatchewan. He married Ida Richter on November 6th, 1950.
They lived on the farm near where he was born, where they had two children, and moved into Montmartre in 1978. Albert was involved in his community, operating the snow blower for the local snow plow club, serving on the board of Sacred Heart Parish, and volunteering for many local activities.
He will be greatly missed by his two children Owen (Eileen) Sebastian and Karen (Joe) Moser; three grandchildren Hollie (Mike) Barrett, Laura (Andy Langman) Sebastian and Kailah (Jean-Christophe Pelletier) Sebastian; and two great-grandchildren Jordyn and Willow; his sister Clementine (Dan) Ripplinger; his sister-in-law Gilberte Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Albert was predeceased by his parents Jacob B. and Elizabeth (nee Baumgartner) Sebastian; his wife Ida (nee Richter); and brothers Victor (Evelyn) Sebastian and Henry (Frances) Sebastian.
Given the restrictions because of the Covid-19 outbreak, a small funeral with children, grandchildren and spouses will be held at Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery, Montmartre, Saskatchewan with Rev. Gerard (Joy) Montiague officiating.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301-2550 12th Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4P 3X1 as a token of remembrance.
