A family graveside service was held in Regina Memorial Gardens on Monday, May 4, 2020 with Rev. Gerard Joy Montiague officiating.
Wally is survived by his loving wife Phyllis of 64 years, son Larry, daughter-in-law Lana, grandson Marc (Jenaya), great-granddaughter Sawyer; daughter Lorelei Kary, son-in-law Gerald, grandchildren Ryan, Maria, Lily, Brielle and Jacob.
Dad was the founder of the Hunter Safety course in Regina, a past president of the Regina Wildlife Federation, a member of the Regina Gun Club, and the Prairie Prowlers snowmobile club. He was a hunter, a fisherman; he loved woodworking and tinkering in his garage. He was a handyman or "hired man" on our farm.
He loved John Wayne and old westerns.
His last years were not easy as he suffered from Parkinson's and the complications.
We would like to give a special thank you to the Montmartre Health Centre for their loving care and support.
He had a strong heart and a strong will to live. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was "The Best Dad"... and will be missed by all.
