He is survived by his spouse, Helen Bitter; son Bill Bitter; and son Ken Bitter; brother Phillip Bitter and sister Alvina Winder.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Katherine Bitter; brothers Ruben Bitter, Harold Bitter, and Norman Bitter.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years during WWII and the Korean War. He served as a Radioman and Teletype Tech aboard the U.S.S. Gen. A.E. Anderson AP111.
He played 3rd base for the San Diego Blue Jackets in first post WWII All Navy Baseball games.
He graduated from Fresno City College with an AA degree in Electronics. He also graduated from Pacific Electronic Engineering School in San Francisco.
Bob worked for North American Aviation Flight Line Electronics as a Leadman. He was also employed by Fresno Unified School District as an Electronic Maintenance Supervisor for over 28 years.
Bob was a past president of Fig Garden Golf Men's Club. He was also a past president of the Edison Social Club.
Private Family will be held at Stephens and Bean Chapel with burial at Belmont Memorial Park.
