She was born to the late Augustine Lares and Maria de Jesus Dominguez Lares on April 21, 1929, in Santana, Sonora, Mexico. Frances was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by two daughters: Maritza Glynn and Nancy Lares Glynn, grandmother of three grandsons: Freddie Fuentes, Esteban Sanchez and Jomar Rojas of Morgan Hill, and great grandmother to Emilia Grace Sanchez of Gilroy, all of California. She is also survived by her sister, Dolores Gamboa of San Jose, brothers: Jesus Lares of Redwood City, and Ricardo Lares of San Jose, all of California. She is preceded by her sisters: Carmen Romero, Maria De Jesus Gil, and brothers Augustine Lares, Gilberto Lares, and Adolfo Lares.
Frances was an artist, she loved music, especially music from her birth country. Frances’ love for gardening showed in her home that she lived in for over 40 years. She surrounded herself with fruit trees, plants, and beautiful flowers. Her favorite color, orange.
Throughout her life, she was very optimistic, and never let anything really get to her. Even throughout her illness she had a positive attitude. Her carefree ways and love of people truly made her one of a kind. She was very loved and will be missed by all that knew her.
Frances will be laid to rest at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery in Santa Clara. More details to follow.
