Ellison Laine Liechty, departed this life on Monday May 11, 2020 at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She died from complications relating to her treatment for the cruel disease Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She fought bravely and with a determination far beyond her thirteen years.
She leaves behind her loving parents, Skyler and Julie Liechty and her two devoted sisters, Rozilyn and Serena, who stood by her every day during this long and difficult struggle. She also leaves behind a large and extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who all loved her dearly.
Ellison was a kind and selfless individual who loved her family, God and her Church. She always lent a helping hand and especially enjoyed helping in the Church nursery. She dreamed of dancing ballet, playing lacrosse, playing the violin, working with African elephants and saving them. She dreamed of traveling the world. She planned to get a Great Dane when she got well. May all her dreams now come true.
Ellison was adventurous, she was smart, she was funny, she was sensitive, she was generous, she was strong and she was beautiful. She was compassionate and empathetic beyond her years. She was perfect. She was a gift from God and we could not hold on to her. But we will always hold on to her spirit, in our thoughts, in our actions, in our voices, in our prayers, in our hearts, always.
1 Peter 3:4 - Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. This was Ellison.
