Born in Rumford, ME on October 7, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Alta Anderson. Barbara ran a Sail making business and a landscaping company, and then went on to spend the majority of her career working as a Home Health Aide. She lived in Florida for over 30 years until she moved back to Cape Cod in 2018.
In her younger years, Barbara belonged to the Cape Cod Symphony and Coast Guard Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bowling, reading her bible, and spending time with her two dogs; BJ and Sandy.
Barbara is survived and will be deeply missed by her two children, Sheryl Bartley and her husband Richard, and Dale Hadfield and his wife Heidi; two step-daughters, Susan Agaman and Jennifer D'Elia; grandchildren, Peyton Hadfield, Christopher Bartley, Amanda D'Elia and Samantha Stewart; a sister, Jacklyn Gammon; and a brother, Donald Porter.
She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Duguay.
At Barbara's request, funeral services have been omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
