Lloyd F. Wallace was born on October 19, 1934 in Maud, Oklahoma to Clarence and Mozelle Wallace and passed away on May 17, 2020 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Lloyd moved with his family to Oklahoma City at the age of 10 where he attended Shields Heights Elementary. He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1953 and then attended a semester at OSU where he learned computer programing.
As a young teenager Lloyd worked as a short order cook at Veasy’s dry store. He spent several years employed at the Yale Theater in the Capital Hill district of Oklahoma City. He later worked as a canvas cutter. In his 30’s he began his career in a print shop from which retired later in life.
Lloyd attended Fairview Baptist Church of Edmond where he spent his time chauffeuring anyone who needed help getting to or form doctors’ appointments, grocery stores or wherever they needed to go. Serving others is what Lloyd loved the most.
Lloyd was a life-time member of the National Trail Riders Association. He loved his hours Cotton and truly enjoyed riding him throughout the trails of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and other states.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother, Mozelle Wallace; father, Clarence Wallace; and brother, Donald R. Wallace.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Jo Smith of Edmond, OK; sister, Betty Simmons of Edmond, OK; and may great- nieces and nephews. Lloyd’s loving spirit and helpful nature will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
