Harold was born November 29, 1932 in Ringos Mills, Kentucky to Olivia and J. W. Redmond. He was the youngest of eleven children.
Harold relocated to Mansfield, Ohio to get as far away from farming as possible. He served in the United States Airforce from 1952 to 1956 as an Armament Specialist and spent two of those years in Tripoli, Libya. After serving his military duty Harold became a service repairman for Addressograph Multigraph Corporations (AM). He was reassigned by AM to Columbia, SC in 1975 and then accepted a position with the company in Ashville, NC. Where he retired and became a full-time golfer. Harold carried and impressive 6 handicap and loved the mountains and numerous friends he made in North Carolina. In 2015 he moved to Memphis to be closer to family. He attended St, John Orthodox Church faithfully for six months and entered the Orthodox faith in January of 2020.
Harold is survived by his sister Irene Johnson, Lake Havasu, AZ; son, Michael Redmond, Memphis; step-daughter Wendy Garrison, Sumter, SC, two granddaughters, Megan Jackson, Memphis and Britney Pound, Sumter SC; one grandson, Trevor Clark, Nashville, TN; two great grandsons, Ezra & Hopper Jackson, Memphis and numerous nieces and nephews scattered throughout the country.
He is preceded in death by his second wife, Linda Redmond and stepdaughter Kathryn Bolser.
Services will be held at St. John Orthodox Church Wednesday May 20th at 10:00 a.m... Burial will be immediately after the service at Elmwood Cemetery, Memphis.
