Will W.Collins, 78, of Jacksonville Florida, quietly passed away at home on Sunday, May 17,2020. He was preceded in death by his three children Sherry Collins, Kevin Collins, Andre’ Robinson, and special family friend Eric Nelson; his father Buddy Collins, mother Betty Marie Keigler, sisters Addie Ruth Collins, Mozelle Collins, Lydia Collins, brothers Jimmy Collins, Leroy Henderson, James Albert, and Louis.
Will was born on July 1,1941 to Betty Marie Keigler and Buddy Collins. Will served in the Army as a paratrooper, chef, and in aviation. He was a two-time Vietnam War Veteran. He later retired after serving 21 years in the Army. After retirement, Will worked for Department of Labor for four years.
He is survived by his loving, dedicated wife of 57 years Margaret Collins; three daughters, Cynthia Collins, Andrena Collins, Ebony Collins, and a son Joseph Collins; five grandchildren, Rashon Collins, Rashad Solomon, Jacobye Jacobs (Dasia), Javone Solomon,Shayla Bouie; two sisters-in-law, Ms. Alean Robinson and Mrs. Barbara Luster (Edmond); a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 2020 in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Restlawn South Memorial Park, 3201 Moncrief Road West, Jacksonville, FL 32208 with Elder Gregory Floyd, as Officiant.
